Known as Peruvian ginseng, the Maca, whose original name is Lepidium Meyenii, is a plant native to South America, in use among the descendants of the Incas. It uses its root, which is rich in beneficial properties but free of caffeine and fat. Drinking an infusion of Maca allows to rebalance the cardiovascular and lymphatic system, helps to tone the muscles.
It provides energy to the body when it is needed, especially when you are under stress. It contains mineral salts such as iron, manganese, zinc, calcium, phosphorus but also vitamins A, B vitamins and vitamin C. It is recommended in the treatment of anaemia, thanks to its ability to raise the level of haemoglobin and to strengthen the immune system.
